Coral Reef Lovers

I dreamed about sketching and myself as Merpeople, so I did it for real, being inspired. I was done with Kit's Merself when I decided that he's an eel. So I had to go back & add more to him & change the fin on his back. I'll add short bios on each of the characters.

Red-striped Cupboard Merman: This species of Merfolk are usually solitary & rarely take a mate. They prefer the company of 1 other & avoid large groups when possible. Like the eels they resemble, the red-stripe almost always stays inside of its den & doesn't stray far from it. They will attack other males that come too close to their homes & will not let go after biting down on prey. Red-stripes are calm & friendly to those they are familiar with & are one of the few species that don't wear much jewelry. Females enjoy coloring their faces, while males prefer to go 'all natural'.
Waverider Mermaiden: This species are small, fast & love to play. They can be seen leaping out from the waves of the ocean in groups. They are a cheery, kind and love to be social. Waveriders are one of the few Merfolk that will not attack humans unprovoked. They can however become very violent if their space or family are threatened. Waveriders' teeth are the closest to human's in appearance, but will grow back if lost. They like to collect things, play with fish & are both daytime & nocturnal creatures.
